When the foetus is developing, and the baby starts to kick in the womb, wouldn't (theoretically speaking of course) having hooves like that could cause damage, both to the baby and its mother? :?

nope, they are born at a stage that would be considered premature for a horse. Otherwise the human part would have to be born a toddler. and that is just. NASTY.
